Elizabeth D. Carnes, 90 passed away December 29, 2015 at her home in Hoover, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Carnes and her brother John J. Dikis. She is survived by her children Maria Alford (Hugh), G. Mike Alexiou (Ellen), Rhonda Harris (Terry) and Renee Stillwell; three sisters, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, December 31, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral with funeral services following at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
