Scott, Elmore Nimrod 87, went to be with the Lord on March 12, 2013. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, the second son of Roscoe and Ruby Scott, lived, worked and retired in the Birmingham area. He graduated from Ensley High School in 1944 and served in the United States Navy during WWII.
He is survived by: three sons; Elmore N. "Rod" Scott, Jr. (Debbie), Michael C. Scott (Debbie), and Nathanael H. Scott, (Donna); six grandchildren: Laura Scott Fullington (Nick), Michael Anderson "Andy" Scott, Adrian Snow, Jonathan Scott, Daniel Scott, Mary Catherine Scott,; two great-grandchildren Aidan Fullington, Liam Fullington; a sister-in-law, Virginia McNutt; and numerous cousins and other dear relatives and many close and warm friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Alice Michael Scott, his parents, Roscoe Elmore Scott (Ruby), his brother, Roscoe Hanlin Scott, and numerous other family members including uncles, aunts, and cousins.
The funeral will be held in the Chapel at Briarwood Presbyterian Church at 12 noon on Friday March 15, 2013 with visitation from 10am to 12 noon on Friday. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in loving memory to their charity of choice.
