Eloise S. Morgan, 83, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 5, 2016. She taught Sunday School for many years at Wylam Baptist Church and First Baptist Church Pleasant Grove. She worked at Wylam Elementary School/Birmingham Board of Education for many years until she retired. She was a member of a birthday club of special ladies from her early adult years to present who met monthly to celebrate their birthdays and fellowship. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gerald C. Morgan and her parents, John and Zelma Strickland and her sister, Faye Cunningham. She is survived by her daughter, Linda K. Land (William); sister, Sue Cunningham; grandsons, Brian M. Spink, Brent D. Spink (Anna); granddaughters, Lisa M. Quick, Jennifer D. Cassidy (Chris) and Melody A. Durden (Scott). Ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 10-11a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11a.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
