PIGG, JR., EUGENE ALVIN 89, of Birmingham, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012 at his residence. He was survived by his wife, Elizabeth Pigg, one daughter: Nancy Rinks, 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Betty Jo Hardin of Bessemer. He was a retired downtown Postal Carrier for the USPS. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, The Dinar Gotto, Arlington Historical Society, and was a proud Multi-Gallon Blood Donor with the American Red Cross. He was also a veteran of WW II serving in the U.S. Navy. The family will receive visitors from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Friday at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, with graveside services following at 2:00 PM Friday at Elmwood Cemetery
