BRYANT, EVIE, age 96, passed away August 9, 2010. She resided in Hearthstone Assisted Living. Evie was born in North Augusta, South Carolina on April 22, 1914. She was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Reynard Toole; five sisters, one brother and her husband of 42 years, Robert E. Bryant, Sr. She was a member of East Lake United Methodist Church for 60 years. She was a member of the Randolph Class and served as president for many years. She worked for Debtors Court for 40 years. She is survived by her son, Dr. Robert E. Bryant, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Judy Powell Bryant; grandchildren, Rob (Scherry), David (Linda), Beth (Philip), Becky (Scott), Chris (Amy) and 18 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held August 12 at Johns Ridout's, Trussville at 11:00 with Reverend Sally Allocca of East Lake Methodist Church conducting the service. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to East Lake United Methodist Church or Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation.
