Faye P. Shirey, age 88 of Birmingham passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016. She was a member of the former Ensley United Methodist Church and current member of Russell Chapel Baptist Church in Sylacauga. Survivors include her daughter, Donna S. Place and husband Michael; son, Olan L. Shirey, Jr. and wife Sherrer; several grandchildren and great grandchildren and 3 sisters. Her graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Arrangements under the direction of Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, Birmingham, AL.
