FRANKS, GLORIA J., age 72 of Locust Fork, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2021. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Marie Taylor. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Clair Franks; sons, Clair Franks III (Toni) and Edwin Franks; son-in-law, Brent Taylor; and grandchildren, Mackenzie Taylor, Amelia Taylor, Kieran Taylor, Ava Franks and Julia Taylor. Gloria retired as a nurse from UAB and was a member of First Baptist Church of Chalkville. She was a member of the Discovery Club at Chalkville Elementary where she enjoyed leading children to Christ. Gloria was an avid reader and collected mini salt and pepper shakers. Her family will celebrate her life with visitation on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 1-2 PM at First Baptist Church of Chalkville with her service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at New Prospect Cemetery across from the church.
