Grady Allison Marsh

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Martha Marsh; son, Randall Marsh; daughter, Darlene Farabee (Doug); granddaughter, Tabitha Richardson (Brian); and granddaughter, Shellie Umfress (Ryan). He was also blessed with 4 great- grandchildren and a loving family including his brother and sister along with their families.

Grady married his teenage sweetheart Martha after serving in the Navy and lived a lifetime of happiness with her. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Grady was a charter member of Huffman Church of the Nazarene in Birmingham, Alabama. He lived his life with faith, love, gentleness, kindness and hard work. He owned Grady’s TV in Center Point, Alabama and Marsh Motors.

Grady had a passion and talent for painting and restoring antique cars, including showcars in the World of Wheels in Birmingham, Alabama. He also grew hundreds of the most beautiful roses for years in his large rose garden at home. Grady loved fishing and went on many memorable deep sea fishing trips in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lavern and Sarah Marsh; his in-laws Emmett and Nellie Byers; and his great-grandson Jackson Umfress.

Services to celebrate Grady’s life and the wonderful memories shared by family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Brother Jimmy Ray will be officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 1:00 pm, an hour before the service. Burial will follow the service at Forest Crest Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
