

Hannah Case Collins-Stephens, 51, loving mother, wife and friend, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 4, 2022. Casey was born on April 1, 1970 to Don Collins Sr. and Hannah Case Snellgrove Collins. Carrying the Snellgrove family legacy in Education; Casey was an elementary school teacher in the Jefferson County school system. Throughout the years both in public and most recently in the hospital, her family has been pleasantly greeted by her former students who cheerfully remember Casey as their teacher, who positively touched their lives. Casey has also been an Education Consultant helping new teachers as well as most recently virtually coaching teachers from all across the nation. Most of all, Casey’s passion was caring for her children and family at home.
Casey was a joyful and faithful friend to many. Casey never met a stranger and was always willing to speak with anyone from all walks of life, greeting them with her beautiful blue eyes, welcoming smile and loving voice.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Don Sr. and Hannah Collins, her brother Don Collins and niece, Lamar Herring. Casey is survived by her husband Craig, her children; daughter Hannah Como Puryear, Son in Law Grant and future grandbaby Hadleigh Case and sons Phillip Como and Cole Stephens as well as Casey’s siblings Clay Collins and Cindy Herring and their families.
Casey’s Celebration of Life Memorial will be held on Friday, January 7th at 5:00 pm. at Faith Community Church in Trussville, Alabama.
