HARVEY THOMAS COX passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife Deborah, son Harvey William Cox and wife Patty and daughter Hollie Cox Simmons and husband Doug. He had five granddaughters Portia, Lexi and Emma Cox and Lindsay and Laura Simmons and two nieces Mary Chism-Ferguson and Sarah Chism. His Uncle Jack and Aunt Betty Sauerwein reside in Las Vegas with their sons Jack and Larry and wife Debbie. Harvey and his wife were living in Birmingham when he passed away. Both Harvey and Deborah were long-time residents of Texas until recently.
Harvey served in the US Navy and there will be a military ceremony at the National Cemetery in Dallas Texas on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. Family and friends are invited to honor his memory. We love you and will miss you every day but you are at peace and celebrating with loved ones that have gone home before you. God has another beautiful soul. Donations can be made in his name to Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org in lieu of flowers. He fought a battle with Dementia but it took his mind and body from all who loved him.
