Hazel M. Franklin age 84 of Vestavia Hills, Died November 25, 2013.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ruth and Ray McDonald, sister Carol M. Smith (Tacoma, WA.), brother Ray McDonald Jr. Hazel is survived by her husband of 57 years Huel Franklin, daughter Cindi Bedford (Roy) of Vestavia Hills, sister Barbara Reusing of Atlanta, GA., grandchildren Lori Bedford Koss (Barry) and Audry Bedford Rogers (Wesley), great-grandchildren Colby Koss and Megan Rogers.
Mrs. Franklin graduated from Hueytown High School class of 1948. She worked as Accounting Manager at BellSouth and retired after 43 years’ service. Mrs. Franklin worked for H&R Block preparing tax returns after her retirement from BellSouth. She also earned two MA Degrees from UAB. She enjoyed watching college football and was a loyal Crimson Tide Fan. She was a member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church for 47 years and a member of the Faith Sunday School Class. She loved her family and she will be greatly missed. A special "Thank You" to Care First Hospice.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 P.M. Friday November 29, 2013 with visitation 1 hour prior. Dr Gary Harvey will be officiating.
