Heather attended Ramsay High School in Birmingham and went on to graduate from Birmingham Southern College with a Bachelors in Marketing. She worked for Birmingham based AmSouth and South Trust in their marketing departments. Heather transitioned into insurance sales and administration with AllState, and was working for First Alabama Insurance at the time of her passing.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 35 years, Michael Franks and their children, Brandon, Brody, Zoey; brothers, Drummond and his children, Drummond, Jr. and Ian; Sterling and his children, Daniel and Katherine; and Stuart, wife Robbi, and their children Virginia and Sarah; special friends, Ann Liddell, Sandra Liddell, Carolyn Pond, and Stacy Tucker; and many other friends and family.
A visitation for Heather will be on Sunday, May 22, 2022 from 1pm - 2pm at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel, followed by a Memorial Celebration of Heather's life at 2pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to either, Children's of Alabama, the American Cancer Society, or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
