Helen Louise Landers Chapman age 90 long-time resident of Bluff Park went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Wilbur Cleon Chapman, Sr., one granddaughter, Sunny Chapman; two sisters, and one brother. She was a member of First Christian Church. She served as a Deacon and Sunday school teacher. She was a homemaker and worked at Auburn Extension Center. She was a member of the Shady Brook Garden Club, was active in the PTA, and enjoyed all types of arts and crafts. She is survived by her two sons, Wilbur Cleon Chapman, Jr. "Sonny" (Bama) and Kenneth N. Chapman (Deanna); one daughter, Carolyn Chapman Goodall (Gordon, deceased); nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at First Christian Church on Valleydale Road followed by a visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lander's Playground, First Christian Church, 4954 Valleydale Road, Hoover, AL 35242.
