Henry Preston Miller, 95, passed away on January 4, 2025. Preston was preceded in death by his devoted wife of 67 years, Helen Joyce Miller. Preston proudly served in the US Air Force. Later in life he was a traveling furniture salesman. He was also a long time member of the Masons. He and his wife were faithful members of Trussville First Methodist Church.
Helen Joyce Miller, devoted wife of Henry Preston Miller of 67 years, passed away at home on April 11, 2022 at the age of 93. Helen grew up in Pratt City, Alabama and graduated from Ensley High School. She retired after 39 loyal years from Alabama Power Company. She loved her co-workers, and she loved to travel with the Energizers and church groups at Huffman UMC, and later at Trussville UMC where she belonged to the Friendship S.S. Class.
Preston and Helen met in Birmingham, Alabama and were married in 1954. Where there was one, the other wasn’t far behind. There will be a memorial service for both of them on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 2 pm at Elmwood Cemetery, where they will be laid to rest together. Anyone attending the service is asked to meet at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, 800 Dennison Ave SW, Birmingham, AL 35211 by 1:30 pm.
