Ilean W East

Ilean W. East, age 73, of Trussville, AL passed away February 4, 2026. She was a Birmingham native who graduated from Erwin High School in 1971. In her early years she was an active member Centercrest Baptist Church. She was employed with BellSouth for several years, and after retiring she ran the Hallmark Shop at Montclair Pharmacy.

Ilean was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her son and grandchildren and cherished every moment with them. She was an avid Mississippi State fan and enjoyed relaxing on her back deck watching hummingbirds and butterflies and tending to her flowers. Ilean loved to travel, especially on a cruise ship.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael Winton; her son, Matthew East (Lora Beth); grandchildren, Jayden East Barnett (Jonathan), Grace East, Julianna East, Evangeline East, and Penelope East; one great grandchild, Juda’Amor Barnett; her brother, Frank Wampol (Pam).

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Monday, February 9th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with visitation held one hour prior to the service. A committal service will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Presiding over the service will be Pastor Bill Wilkes of Northpark Baptist Church where Ilean was a member.
