Jack E Ferrell

FERRELL, MR. JACK EARL age 91 of Hoover, AL passed away November 5, 2011. Mr. Ferrell, an avid golfer and gardener, was a beloved husband of 70 years, a devoted father, and friend to many. He was a member of Bluff Park United Methodist Church for 58 years. Mr. Ferrell was a pilot instructor, 1st Lieutenant in the US Army Air Force during WWII. He retired from Sears Roebuck after being a department manager for them for 30 years. Mr. Ferrell was preceded in death by his parents, John E. "Jeff" and Mamie E. Wallace Ferrell; his daughter, Linda Corkill; granddaughter, April Corkill; and brothers, Wallace and Robert Ferrell. He is survived by his wife, Ellen Jean Ferrell; daughters, Paula Belmont (Joe) of Shelby, AL and Nita Tombrello (David) of Scottsboro, AL; son-in-law, Jim Corkill of Hoover, AL; grandchildren, Joey Belmont, Jeff Corkill, Johnny Belmont, and Michael Tombrello; and five great grandchildren, Visitation will be Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10:00 am at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Reid Crotty officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Bluff Park United Methodist Church Pastor's Discretionary Fund.
