James "Chuck" Elam, age 72, of Hueytown, Alabama entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 10, 2024. Chuck was born on March 14, 1952 to Garvis and Juanita Elam. He attended Wylam and Ensley Schools. Chuck was a long time employee of Walmart. He was a member of the Alabama Ghost Busters.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Garvis and Juanita Elam and his brother, David Ricky Elam. He is survived by his loving wife, Marjie Elam; son, Mitchel Elam (Katie); sisters, Janice Sims (Leroy), Betty Walker (Grady), and Cindy Brooks (Dennis); granddaughter, Maddie Elam; nephews, Robert McCulley (Donna), Mike McCulley (Deb), and Jeremy Turman (Amber); and host of friends. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A visitation for Chuck will be held Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, followed by a Celebration Of A Life Well Lived at 2:00 PM.
