Fred was a long time member of Berney Points Baptist Church. He attended West End High School. He was an avid Auburn fan and a fan of the Atlanta Braves. He enjoyed music and was an avid reader.
Fred is survived by his brothers and sisters, William W. Smith, Sr. (Judy), Anne Smith Lee, David L. Smith, and Linda “Susie” Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Fred will be on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 1 pm at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2pm. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
