She attended Howard College (now Samford University) and retired in 1997 from Hill Dental Company as a Department Manager. Jean was an active member of many organizations, including the Women’s Junior Chamber of Commerce, Vestavia/Hoover Business & Professional Women’s Club, serving as president of that organization, volunteer and member of Friends of the Hoover Library, and the Red Hat Society. She served WBHM many years reading newspapers to the blind.
Jean was a member of the Mountain Chapel Methodist Church. She enjoyed her Canasta Club there and was a member of the Keenagers Luncheon Club.
She is predeceased by her father and mother, Sam and Evelyn Call Waldman, and a brother, Wesley Waldman.
Jean’s wish is that any memorials be made to Mountain Chapel Methodist Church, 2541 Rocky Ridge Road, Birmingham, Alabama 35243.
