

Jeannine Monette Dinken Rodgers, age 88, of Athens, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Joseph Dinken, Sr. and Cora Higgins Dinken, and her brother, William Joseph Dinken, Jr. She is survived by her three children, Lisa R. Roberts (Rick), Dana R. Poole (Jeff), and R. Neil Rodgers (Lisa); seven grandchildren, Anna R. Cook (David), John M. Roberts (Amanda), J. Mitchell Poole, Jr. (Laura), Kristin P. Moberley (Nathan), Ellen R. Scherff (Max), Leah R. Harris (Frankie), and Rachel M. Rodgers; and eight great grandchildren, Cora, Baron, Brooke, Lydia, Morgan, Charlotte, Emma Laura and Jackson.
Jeannine was a 1950 graduate of Phillips High School in Birmingham, Alabama and a 1957 graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She was one of only five women in her graduating class of 50 in Business Administration. She loved the Lord, was an avid traveler and was loved by her family. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Athens, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama with the Rev. James Etheridge of Mountain Brook Independent Church officiating.
