HANEY, JIMMIE RUTH, age 76, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, June 09, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Grady and Estelle Eloise Haney; sister, Elizabeth Vann of Birmingham; and brother, Thomas E. Haney of Essex, Connecticut. She is survived by her nieces, Averil (Eric) Smith of Tallahassee, FL and Susan (Dennis) Robida of Connecticut; nephews, Robert (Peggy) Vann of Monroeville, James E. (Robyn) Vann of Birmingham, Thomas E. (Nancy) Haney, Jr. and Gary Haney of Connecticut; and many great-nieces, great-nephews, great great- nieces and great great-nephews. There will be a celebration of her life at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at 3 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to charitable agencies that provide services for disadvantaged people.
