Joanne was retired from Birmingham Southern College. She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church
and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Bertie Hayes; and her brothers, Gerald Hayes and Bobby Hayes.
Joanne is survived by her husband, Joe Miner; her daughter, Lori Martin (John); her son, Todd Miner (Stacy); her sister, June Bryan; her grandchildren, Hunter Martin, Kennedy Martin, Graham Miner, Caroline Miner, Britton Miner; an many beloved nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Aveanna Hospice of Gardendale and to all her loving caregivers.
A visitation for Joanne will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Bethel United Methodist Cemetery, 369 Bethel Church Road, Eva, AL 35621.
