John Calvin “Stick” Bolton, III, 67, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was preceded in death by his father, John Calvin Bolton, Jr. and stepfather, Judge Joseph Jasper. Stick is survived by his children, Denise Boswell (Bozz) and John Calvin Bolton, IV; mother, Martha Bolton Jasper; twin sister, Donna Bruno (Michael); sisters, Jan Adams (Robert), Ann Adcock (Chris); grandchildren, Skylar, Rachel, and Kingston; nieces and nephews, Ashley Bourgeois, Melissa Waugh, Brittney Towey, and Chad Adams; numerous cousins and friends.
Stick loved hunting, fishing, Alabama Football, and his mama. He enjoyed spending time with his family and cats, Purr and Little Bit. He attended John Carroll High School and Jeff State Community College. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 30+ years.
Special thanks to his caregivers. Their love and care were of great comfort to Stick and his family.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 from 10 am until 11 am at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. A celebration of his life will follow at 11 am.
