Johnny Watson, 91, of Irondale, AL went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2018. He was preceded in passing by his parents, John Watson and Jane Crotty Watson (of Belfast, Ireland); his son, John Randall Watson; his daughter, Annette Watson; and 2 brothers and 7 sisters. Johnny is survived by his wife of 67 years, Sara Anne Watson; grandson John Brandon Watson and Clint Watson Corbett; his special friend, Nelson Davis; as well as other extended family and friends. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. Johnny served on the USS Duluth and the Enterprise mainly in the South Pacific. He retired from ADT after 40 years. He owned his own upholstery business and had a very good clientele. Johnny was passionate about his work and had a true talent for upholstery. He enjoyed watching boxing and even boxed during his time in the Navy. Johnny will be remembered by his giving and loving spirit by all of the people he helped throughout his lifetime.
Visitation Friday, May 4, 2018 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Service will follow at 2:00 pm. Interment with military honors will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale, AL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Jimmie Hale Mission.
