YARBOROUGH, JOSEPH “JOE” F. SR., age 93 of Birmingham passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Yarborough. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sharon Yarborough; sons, Jim Hannah (Donna), Allen Yarborough, Joe Yarborough, Jr. (Kathy) and Dr. Mark Yarborough (Elaine); sister-in-law, Carolyn Duffey; 8 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; special friend and longtime employee, Ulysses Darby; several nieces and nephews; and many friends. Joe was a member of Cahaba Springs Presbyterian Church. He was also the founder and CEO of Southern Ready Mix Concrete and owned several golf courses including Greyson Valley Country Club, Glenn Lakes Country Club in Foley and Roebuck Golf Course. Joe was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing many different courses. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 1-2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. His service will be at the chapel on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 beginning at 2 PM.
