Kenneth Daniel Watkins Sr. passed away March 16, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents Orene Kennedy Watkins and Daniel Eastis Watkins. Ken is survived by his wife of 58 years Jean Watkins; his children, Connie Spivey, Danny Watkins Jr. (Judi), his grandchildren, Seth Spivey, Sloan Spivey, Rachel Watkins, and Camden Watkins; brother, Billy Watkins (Connie); nephew, Wil Watkins (Holly); Nieces, Jennifer Jones (Audley), Wendy Waldron (John), Dawn Gauthier (Dave) and their children and a host of other relatives and friends. Ken graduated Samford University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He retired as a Sergeant from the Mountain Brook Police Department in 1995, after serving 26 years. Family to receive friends on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with graveside services and burial following at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
