Larry, age 94, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 13, 2016. He was a longtime member of Shades Mountain Baptist Church and a member of the Birmingham Traffic and Transportation Club where he was a past president. Larry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Nelle R. Brown; five brothers, two sisters, and son, John M. Bachelor. He is survived by his son, Bruce G. Brown, wife Sharron W.; granddaughter, Erin N. Shaw, husband Robert W.; and great grandchildren, Gregory Calvin and Reese Elizabeth Shaw. The family will receive friends at Elmwood Chapel on Saturday, March 19th, 2016 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with graveside services immediately following at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shades Mountain Baptist Church - Chapters Campaign.
