

Lena Catherine “Cathy” Scharf Fulton, of Trussville, went to her Heavenly home on May 22, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 28, 1940, in Trussville, Alabama. She is preceded in death by her parents Inez Scharf Wright and Arthur Scharf; stepfather Alexander Wright; daughter-in-love Laura Fulton, and sister-in-love Betty Scharf. She had an unwavering love for the Lord, her family, her friends, and her church, Trussville First Methodist, where she was a member her whole life. She had a passion for family and put them at the center of her world. Up until her final days, she cared for loved ones and continued to put others first. Cathy had a range of skills and passions, from gardening to cooking and baking to various forms of art. She possessed the ability to bring life to everything she did and everyone she met. Her family mourns the loss of her light but rejoices knowing that Heaven is brighter with her presence.
Cathy leaves behind her loving husband of 62 years, Harold Fulton; brothers Jerry Scharf and Bill Scharf (Charlene); her three sons Alan Fulton (Melissa), Craig Fulton (Stephanie), and Brett Fulton; grandchildren Alexandria Fulton Feemster (Conner), Tanner Fulton, Kaley Ann Trammell (Chase), William Fulton, George Fulton, and Charles Fulton; great-grandchild Fitzpatrick Alan Feemster, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of life on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 10am at Trussville First Methodist Church followed by a burial at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 9am. The family would also like to thank the countless doctors, nurses, and support staff of the CICU at Grandview Medical Center for their unwavering kindness, compassion, and support during this challenging time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trussville First Methodist Church.
