Linda was born on August 25, 1942, and was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Edmund and Mamie Clark; her siblings, Barbara, Johnny, Joe, and Mary; and her husband, Chet Bauder, whom she deeply loved and cherished.
She is survived by her sister, Kay Walden, and half-sister, Sheila Parsons; her dear aunt, Lovern Atchison; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
Linda graduated from Hueytown High School in 1960 and went on to build a long and successful career in retail management. She devoted many years to Pizitz and McRae’s, where she was known for her professionalism, leadership, and strong work ethic, retiring in 2010. Never one to sit still, Linda then spent the next decade serving others as a caregiver for the elderly, offering kindness, patience, and dignity to those in her care.
Throughout her life, Linda faced personal challenges with quiet strength and resilience. In later years, health concerns eventually required extended care, where she remained surrounded by compassion and support.
Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures and was especially known for her love of horseback riding, flower gardening, camping, and her beloved pets, who were constant companions and a great source of happiness. These passions reflected her gentle spirit and her appreciation for nature and companionship.
Linda will be deeply missed by her family and friends, who remember her as loving, thoughtful, and devoted to helping others.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Maple Room at Johns Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery.
Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her and whose lives she touched along the way.
