She was preceded in death by her parents Gordon F. Holmes, Jr. and June Wilson Holmes.
Linda graduated from Fairfield High School in 1970 and then graduated from UAB School of Nursing in 1974 with her BS in Nursing.
She worked many years at Lloyd Noland Hospital and Clinics. In 1993 she moved to The Kirklin Clinic at UAB. After many years there she moved to the Eye Foundation at UAB where she retired from.
Linda has one brother Bryan Holmes (Suzanne) and their daughter, Meredith. Both Suzanne and Meredith are RNs. The later is presently working at Grandview clinics and former is retired from The Kirklin Clinic at UAB. Cousins; Debbie Acklin (Perry) and their children Greg and Amy Acklin; Mike Forehand (Kelly) and their three sons, Allen (Tersa) and their two sons.
There will be a Graveside Service Wednesday, October 23, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Elmwood Cemetery 600 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive SW Birmingham, Alabama 35211.
