

She was born on November 30, 1936, in Birmingham to the late Russell and Beulah Miller. After graduating from Woodlawn High School, Margie attended the University of Alabama and Samford University. She retired from UAB Hospital where she worked as a medical technologist. She was a member of Covenant Community Church UCC where she sang in the choir.
Left to cherish her memory are her two nephews, Russell Miller and his wife, Tricia; and Randy Miller and his wife, Donna; niece, Kelly Anne Thomas; three great-nieces, Alexis Miller; Erica Miller; and Sarah Miller; a great-great-nephew, Kasey Miller; and a great-great-niece, Elyse Miller. Also surviving Margie is her dear friend and caretaker, Mary Jones with their beloved dog, Lucky; along with a host of loving friends.
Margie left a left a legacy of love, laughter, great memories, and treasured moments with all who knew her and her headstrong, tenacious, giving spirit will be missed. In honor of her generous heart, the funeral home will be accepting donations of supplies in Margie’s memory for the Greater Birmingham Humane Society. Please bring dog or cat food, towels, blankets, puppy pads, etc. to Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Saturday, November 10th.
Visitation will be at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Saturday, November 10, 2018, from 5:00 – 7:00 PM. A celebration of Life for Margie will be at Covenant Community Church on Sunday, November 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
