She is survived by her daughter Dana (Tim) Armstrong and one brother D.Scott Mayes Jr. She is also survived by step-children Jimmy (Annie) Richard (Barbara)and Tim (Gloria) Franklin, daughter in-law Carolyn Franklin and numerous nieces,nephews and grandchildren.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chalkville and had over 50 years in the Eastern Star.
Funeral service will be Saturday June 9, 2012 at 4:00 P.M. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with interment to follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until service time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the American Cancer Society.
