Mary Harkins

Mary was born on October 20, 1947, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Mildred Ezell, and her sister, Joan Robinson. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jerry; her two sons, Jeff and Chris (Heather); and her sister, Barbara (Ed) Warren. She also has four grandchildren, Joshua (Attara), Gable, Annabella, and Ashley, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Mary loved her husband and children but especially loved her grandchildren. She would do anything for them. She enjoyed traveling and spent over twenty years riding Goldwing motorcycles and camping with family and friends. She also loved walking her dogs, taking care of flowers and setting up hummingbird feeders to watch the birds all spring and summer. She always treated people as if they were part of the family. Anytime her children or grandchildren brought a guest over, she made sure they felt welcomed and part of the family.

Most importantly, Mary was a believer in Jesus Christ and a member of Oneonta First Baptist Church.

Services will be on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service following at 11:00 am.
