Mary Jean Palmer Hackney, 86, died in Trussville, AL, Dec 21, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Hackney, Jr., and survived by daughters Susan H. Dunagan and Janet H. Kincaid, 4 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
A graduate of Tarrant High School, Tarrant, AL, a retiree of South Central Bell (AT&T), she lived a life overflowing with Jesus, family and well-loved friends. She loved beauty in all forms and was ever happy to see and learn something new, always interested in history and government, sports cars, horses, the Red Hats, social events and music. Her laughter was addictive and she was the warmest and sweetest loving friend ever.
Visitation will be December 29th at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel1, 5 pm to 7 pm, 1500 Gadsden Highway, Birmingham, AL, Graveside service will be conducted December 30th, 1 pm, Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.
