Mary Miles, 89, passed away on February 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Miles, Jr.; son, Raymond Jackson “Jack” Miles, III; all of her siblings, Henry, Celia, Susie, Bill, Chuck, and Carl; and her parents, Nellie Jane Kemp Hubbert and Henry Green Hubbert. Mary is survived by her beloved children, Marilyn Glenn of Prattville, Alabama, Carolyn Guy (Randall) of Pelham, Alabama; grandchildren, Amy Glenn (Emily) of Riley, Kansas, Nathan Guy (Alexandra) of Odenville, Alabama, Spencer Guy (Brittany), of Phoenix, Arizona; great-grandchildren, Emalee, Brooklyn, Jethro, Declan, and Reed; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary grew up in Sandusky and attended and graduated from Minor High School. She worked for many years at John’s Photo. She was a member of Hope Mountain Church in Calera, Alabama where she enjoyed decorating for special holidays and events for many years. She also loved serving as a greeter on Sunday mornings as everyone came in to worship. She was known to have a kind heart and loved to serve.
There will be a graveside service on Saturday, March 9 at 11 am at Elmwood Cemetery. All attendees are asked to arrive at Elmwood Chapel by 10:45 to proceed to the graveside.
