

Maxine Adkins Wade, age 93, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2023. She was born in Pinson, Alabama and grew up in Tarrant, Al. She retired as office manager from Dr. Doggett, Jr. Office in Tarrant. She was long-time member of Central Baptist Church. She was happily married to Monroe Jack Wade. She was truly one of a kind. Mrs. Wade was the life of the party. She was a loving, caring and Godly woman, who demonstrated her great love for her family and friends.
Mrs. Wade is preceded in death by her husband, Monroe Jack Wade; parents, Roy and Mary Adkins Sr., great grandsons, Tucker & Bennett Meads; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Sarah Adkins Jr.; sister, Patsy Meads; brother, JD Adkins; nephews, Andrew Brand and Brian Crocker; and nephew in law, Eddie Crocker.
She is survived by her sons, Jim Meads (Julie) of Trussville and Joe Meads (Rachel) of Irondale; grandchildren, Jared Meads (Hannah), Jon Meads (Claire), and Lindsey Meads; great grandchildren, Lydia Meads and Wade Meads; nieces and nephews, Michael Adkins (Cindy), Michelle Crocker, Trace Adkins (Beth), and Pam Brand (Mike); and host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Jared Meads, Michael Adkins, Trace Adkins, Dr. Michael Adkins Jr., Robert Hatcher, Dr. Nathan Redmond, Mike Brand,and Ronnie Erwin.
A visitation for Maxine will be held Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. A funeral service will occur Thursday, March 23, 2023 at 6:30 PM at 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. A committal service will occur Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Alabama National Cemetery, 3133 Hwy 119, Montevallo, AL 35115.
