Melanie Meads Thompson

Melanie Meads Thompson of Birmingham, Alabama passed away on March 7, 2019, at the age of 52. A graduate of Huffman High School, she got her BS from UAB and graduated from the University of Alabama School of Law in 1994. Melanie is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Alex Thompson; and her father, James E. Meads. Left to cherish her memory is her son, Ben Thompson; her mother, Mildred K. White; and her two brothers, Jim Meads and Joe Meads.

Melanie loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, paddle boarding, and photography. She took many pictures of wildflowers and nature scenes while romping around in the woods with Ben and Ranger.

A memorial service will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 11:00 AM with a visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers donations to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society can be made in her memory.
