Michelle Lynne Crabtree

Michelle “Mickey” Lynne Crabtree, age 50, passed into the arms of Jesus Monday, January 26, 2015. Mickey, a gold medal World Games Special Olympian, was a member of Huffman United Methodist Church. In 2000, she was named Athlete of the Year by the Alabama Special Olympics. She had a very active life, was involved in all forms of sports and excelled in all. Mickey also loved to sing and play the piano. After graduating from Glen Iris Baptist School, she became very active at the Exceptional Foundation.

Mickey was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Franklin “Ted” Crabtree. She is survived by her mother, Lorraine Wimpee Crabtree; sisters, Charleen Crabtree Temples and Carol Deming Chenault (Ellis); other family members, Justin Flennigan and numerous special friends.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4pm at John Ridouts, Trussville. Service will be 11am Monday at Huffman United Methodist Church with burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham.
