Loving, devoted mother of two and by her life and example nurtured them in love of God and family.
She dearly loved her children: Pat Sparks (Jim) and Rob Walker (Beth); 5 grandchildren; Scott Binford, Emily Murphy, Brandon Phillips, Matt Walker and Michael Walker; and 8 great grandchildren: Tyree, Taylor, Crew, Cove, Sophia, Grant, Madison and Tucker; as well as her husband Albert Wesley Brasfield who preceded her in death and bonus children, grands and great grandchildren.
She was fun loving with her big outgoing personality. She loved Auburn football, traveling, playing cards and bunko, dancing, talking on the phone, boat riding, growing flowers and most importantly the beach. She managed to get over 6 "one last trips to the beach before I die."
We know she'll be dancing with her new legs, hearing with her new ears, keeping her toes in the sand and loving every minute of eternity.
A funeral service for Nicolina will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2 Xavier Circle, Birmingham, AL 35213. The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice in memory of our mother and grandmother.
