Peggy Jane (Whisenhunt) Blaylock

BLAYLOCK, PEGGY JANE WHISENHUNT, age 68 passed away June 6, 2025. Peggy was preceded in death by her son, Richard Bearden; parents, Carl and Hazel Whisenhunt; brothers, Charles Whisenhunt, Ray Whisenhunt, Carl “Bitty” Whisenhunt and Sonny Whisenhunt; and sister, Shelby Thrasher. Peggy is survived by her husband, Geary Blaylock; daughter, Wendy Pender; step-sons, Timmy King (Caroline), Chris Blaylock and Craig Blaylock (LeAnn); step-daughter, Crystal Jester (Kevin); granddaughters, Catherine Pender, Faith Joiner (Amber), Serenity Jester, Savannah Jester and Sophia Jester; grandsons, Dylan Pender, Dalton Jester, Devon Jester (Brandi), Christian Blaylock, Brayden King, Matthew Blaylock (Katelyn), Nick Blaylock (Ashlyn) and Kyle Blaylock (Mary); 12 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Robertson; brothers, Larry Whisenhunt (Deborah) and David Whisenhunt (Sheila); and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Peggy was a 1976 graduate of St. Clair County High School. She spent many years working in the food industry. Peggy was an avid reader, a hard worker and a devoted Nana. The family will receive friends at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 5-7 PM. Funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Friday, June 13, 2025 beginning at 11:00. Burial will follow at Low Gap Cemetery in Odenville, AL.
