Peggy Sue Bright Wells spent her high school years as the head cheerleader at Altoona. She was also voted cutest in the senior Who's Who of 1955. Her motto under her senior picture reads "Laughing, Smiling Evermore, She's the Gal We All Adore". This motto was true throughout her life. She married Dan Wells after high school and devoted her life to being a wonderful wife and mother. She spent her time at all of the school functions of her children and was the anchor of the family. Most of these years were spent in Center Point Alabama. The kids started to leave one by one, at which this time Dan and Peggy moved to Remlap, Alabama in the late eighties where their youngest daughter was still at home with them. During this time, Peggy started working more hours outside of the home as a receptionist for an eye doctor. She really loved her position there and stayed until her retirement. She remained in the home that she and Dan had built together even after Dan's passing. Peggy had a full life of family and her many pets that she treated just like family. Peggy Wells will be missed by all, but she will also be remembered for her love and kindness by all.
A visitation for Peggy will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a celebration of life from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Peggy's favorite charity was St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.
