Penny was preceded in death by her parents Noah and Mildred Pennington, her sister, Polly Smith and her husband, Paul Barcroft Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Julie Nolan (John), her son, Bud Barcroft (Pam) and her grandchildren Phillip Nolan (Shelley), Alicia Saxton (Joe), Hunter Barcroft, Noah Barcroft (Madison), Nikki Garner, and her great-granddaughter, Blakely Barcroft.
She was a member of Canterbury United Methodist Church. Penny was devoted to her family and friends. She was one of the kindest and most genuine people you could hope to meet. She was always a constant source of love and laughter that held this family together. Some of her greatest pleasures were playing bridge for several decades with her lifelong friends and cheering for Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball.
There will be a graveside service at Elmwood Cemetery on Tuesday, January 2 at 1 PM.
