Phong H. “Timmy” Nguyen, age 21 of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, March 3, 2024. He is survived by his father, Phuong Huynh Nguyen; mother, Shannon Lashell Davidson; sisters, Breanna Davidson, Kieu-mi Le Nguyen, and Kieu-Oanh Le Nguyen; brothers, Marlon Compton, Markell Compton and Luca Gia-Bao Nguyen; grandparents, Hoang Thi Nguyen and Ty Van Nguyen; and several aunts, uncles and other family members. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cleveland and Barbara Berry. Timmy played basketball for Pinson Valley High School and graduated from Clay-Chalkville High School. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne Artillery. His family will celebrate his life on Sunday, March 17, 2024 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a prayer service from 5-6 and visitation from 6-8. The funeral service will be at the chapel on Monday, March 18, 2024 from 12:00-1:30.
