GLAZNER, REAGER LEWIS Reager Lewis Glazner, age 88, born in Birmingham to Shelly and Annie Glazner, deceased. Raised by foster parents, Arthur and Sara Poss, deceased. Attended West End High School. Served in the U.S. Navy 3 1/2 years in WWII in the Pacific, and retired after 40 years as co-owner of Fred Chenoweth Equipment Company. Member of VFW post #668, First Baptist Church of Hoover, former member of Shades Mountain Independent Church and of Avondale United Methodist Church. Survived by wife of 66 years Mary Kathryn Chenoweth Glazner, daughter Karen G. Walker, 3 grandchildren- Rebecca C. Bohin (John), Dr. Garret Walker (Mary Martha), Meredith Phillips (David); 8 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and, nephew Euel C. Brown, Jr.(Janet) of Murrells Inlet, S.C. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 3, 2012 beginning at 10:00 am at Ridout's Elmwood Chapel followed by a graveside service at 11:00 am at Elmwood Cemetery with Dr. Randy Atkinson officiating.
