Richard J. Cochran age 79 of Fultondale, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013. He was a member of Central Park United Methodist Church until he moved to Leeds and began attending Leeds United Methodist Church. He worked as a courier for Hackbarth. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Doris Ann Cochran; parents, Howard Edwin and Clarice Vivian Cochran; brother, Howard E. Cochran, Jr.; and sisters, Patricia L. Redden and Jo Ann Macy. He is survived by his sons, James H. Cochran, John R. Cochran (Paula), and Mark E. Cochran; grandchildren, Adam Lundy, Taylor Cochran, Spencer Cochran, Alex Cochran, Hope Cochran, Jamie Cochran, and Elena Cochran. Visitation will be Sunday, January 5, 2013 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Funeral services will be Monday, January 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Elmwood Chapel with Reagan Bolin officiating. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
