Mitchell, Robert “Bob”, 78 of Clay, AL passed away on Sunday, November 07, 2010. He was preceded in death by two wives, Jean Mitchell, and Anita Mitchell. He was in the fire sprinkler business for 57 years retiring from U. S. Sprinkler. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War, 1947 to 1951. Bob was a member of the Marine Corps League and of the Chosin Few. He is survived by his wife, Judy Patterson Mitchell, a son, Donald “Don” of Dallas, TX, 2 daughters, Lynn Wigstone, Lisa Carter both of Trussville, 2 step-sons, Wesley Schafner, Tony Patterson, 2 step-daughters, Turena Bice, Tammy Walker, three grandsons Jon and Jeffery Davis, Derek Carter, 2 granddaughters, Ruth Mitchell, Kayla Carter, 4 step-grandchildren, Jessica and Richard Bice, Sarah Lovell, Maggie Walker, a great-granddaughter, Macey Davis. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with burial in Forest Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to Alacare Hospice.
