Robert "Bob" C. Stone Sr.

Bob was born on June 19, 1927 in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Earl & Mary Stone. Bob later married his best friend, Mabel M. Stone of 60 + years and during these years, they raised three kids and 2 granddaughters.

Bob loved spending time with his family, having the yearly dove shoot, and playing pool. Bob loved sharing memories about the friends he made during his time he served in 1947 in the Navy during WWII. He was stationed in Bainbridge, Maryland. He also loved going on trips with his family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Earl L. and Mary C. Stone and his brother, Joseph W. Stone.

Bob is survived by his sister, Rita S. Barham (Worth) Children, Robert C. Stone Jr. (Brenda) Daughters, Shari S. Bang and Lisa S. Knight (Guy); grandsons, Chan Stone, Andy Stone, Brad Knight (Summer) and Rob Knight (Misty); granddaughters, Staci B. Godfery (Steven) , and Traci B. Terrell (Jonathan); great grandsons, Eli Stone, Caleb Bang, Blake Burton, Jon David Terrell, Kyler Ogden, Cade Knight, Landon Knight, Garrett Knight, Graham Knight and Greer Knight; great granddaughter, Mackenzie Stone and many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A visitation for Bob will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Eastside Baptist Church, 558 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery where he will be laid to rest beside his lovely bride who he is reunited with on the streets of gold with Jesus Christ.
