

Born to Parents Deacon William Henry Nathan and Daisy Willie Ann Nathan on July 16, 1934.
Roberta, accepted Christ at a early age in Dayton, Alabama at Hope Hill Baptist Church.
She attended and Graduated from the Marengo County School system.
She grew up with seven brothers the late Matthew Nathan (Bessie), the late Eddie Lee Nathan, (Virginia), the late Eugene Nathan (Neil), the late Willie Lee Nathan, (L.V.), survivor Ezkiel Nathan (Rose Lee), survivor William Henry Nathan, Jr (Louise), the late Booker T. Nathan, (Flora).
She, leave to mourn her husband of 64 years. Mr. Willie Lee McGinnis, Jr.
Roberta, is a Mother of 10 children. Four babies died during childbirth. She raised daughter Rebecca Gothwright (Leroy), son Retired LTC Willie McGinnis, III, (Wanda), daughter Evangelist Ruth McGinnis, son Alex McGinnis (Margie), son Anthony McGinnis, (Baretha), son James McGinnis, Sr, (Angela), ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and two great- great grandchildren.
Mrs. Roberta, worked as a professional food service supervisor for a number of years.
She enjoyed singing in the 46th Street Baptist Church along with St. James Baptist Church.
Her joy was her family and loving her friends.
Mrs. Roberta, a woman of many talents and gifts will be missed.
A visitation for Roberta will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211.A funeral service will occur Friday, January 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211.
