Robin Brown Dorminey

She was proceeded in death by her father, J.W. Brown. She is survived by her husband, James Dorminey; her mother, Charlene Brown; brother, Bo (Stephanie) Brown; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Lori Dorminey; beloved nieces, Claudia (Ryan) Hallquist, Caitie Brown, Chloe Brown, Cana Brown, Ava Dorminey; nephew, Jake Dorminey; and godsons Adam McKinney, Jarred McKinney, and Luke McKinney.

Robin was a teacher for over twenty years in the Birmingham City School system and Central Park Christian school, and leaves behind a host of cherished students.

The family would like to thank the many doctors that have treated Robin over the last 15 years, most recently the doctors from the UAB liver and kidney clinics.

We would also like to thank all the nurses and patient care techs that took such good care of Robin at Shelby, Brookwood and UAB. Your kindness and compassion went well beyond your duties, your heart for taking care of Robin mean the world not just physically but mentally and spiritually.

A visitation for Robin will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johns-Ridout's Mortuary-Elmwood Chapel, 800 Dennison Ave Sw, Birmingham, AL 35211, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM.
