

Joseph Harry Romano, 92, a resident of Hoover, Alabama, peacefully went to be in the presence of the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2015. Joe touched the lives of all who knew him with his selfless and caring manner. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, a graduate of Ramsey High School and attended Birmingham Southern and Auburn University, a WWII Veteran in the U. S. Air Corps, Sales Manager with Remington Rand for 27 years, Founder/CEO of Business Systems and Consultants, Inc., Scholarship Donor for Auburn University, as well as a Member of Samford Society and All-American Society. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry Aloysius and Mary Jane Romano of Birmingham, Alabama; his brother, Anthony Romano and sister, Joanne Johnson (Edd). He leaves to cherish his wonderful memories and is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Romano, mother of his children, Rita G Romano, children, Debi Hedges (Chris), Rodney Romano, Rick Romano (Melanie), Bart Romano (Lisa), Mike Romano (Fran),Rita Romano, stepson, John Saunders (Donna), and 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His love and strength will forever live in the hearts of his family and friends. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 26, 2015, 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 2061 Patton Chapel Road, Hoover, AL 35216 (205/822-4480) with Rev. Thomas M. Kelly officiating followed by Graveside Service at Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 25 from 6:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. with Rosary by Rev. Thomas M. Kelly following.
